Man Pleads Guilty to Having Heroin
Robert Wilson, 33, of Stanhope, is expected to be sentenced on March 26.
A Stanhope man admitted recently to possessing heroin, discovered on him after he ran a stop sign in Hopatcong, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office.
Robert Wilson, 33, of Stanhope, pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance at the Sussex County Courthouse before Judge Peter Conforti on Jan. 23, the prosecutor's office said. He admitted to having two bags of heroin found during a Sept. 12 motor vehicle stop conducted by Police Officer James Bianculli, the prosecutor's office said.
Wilson is expected to be sentenced on March 26.
Wilson was represented by Kevin McLaughlin and Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Reed represented the state.

Good Job HPD!!! Way too crack down on drugs! I was told by a Sgt in the Stanhope PD they have a huge drug problem in that town. I'm glad Hopatcong is picking up their slack. We have enough scum we don't need theirs too.

Another great arrest by HPD!!! Hopefully the word will get out that Hopatcong is the wrong place to come and peddle your drugs and break the law. If not, I hear HPD has room at the Inn.
